Epona Holding BV was founded in 1985 as any other holding company with the purpose of owning shares in other companies. The name Epona was chosen as a tribute to the Gallo-Roman Godess: Epona, the protector of horses and horseman. The founder Ron Woering is an avid horse and carriage driver and vice president of the Dutch Society of Antique Carriage Owners (Nederlandse Vereniging Traditioneel Gerij (http://www.traditioneelgerij.nl one of woering consultancy's first webdesigns)

After acting as vice president for van Straten Medical for over 25 years Ron Woering founded the woering consultancy company in 2006 offering his skills and experience to the Medical Device Industries.
